I haven't had much to write about lately. I am not sure why this is because there has been a lot going on in my life. I think part of it is that I feel self conscious about my writing and the pictures have been quite enough for me to handle on a daily basis. I don't want the writing to be a personal journal entry, which it was starting to become at times, and I don't want it to be dry and boring either. I guess you could say I am in a writing funk...so I decided to write about not writing to force it out of me, but it still feels empty and hollow. I will stick with the image making for now.

If I ever decide to do another photo project like this I think it will be all about my meals- what I eat, the people I share my meals with, and the places I eat them. This is an easy time to photograph for me, plus I am obsessed with food. A new project could possibly emerge on May 8th.

Sweet, Day 265!!!!!!!

A little bribery never hurts, especially when a little someone was disappointed that we couldn't go to his favorite Ethiopian restaurant for dinner because it was too crowded. But we made it through the evening meal at an alternative restaurant with hardly any complaints. Chocolate does make the world a better place.

Routine, Day 199

Every night it is the same routine: put on pj's, have a snack, brush teeth, go pee, pick out books, read, lights out. And just about every night it is a major hassle with Nicolai. So we have started the routine a little earlier and it has helped, but there are still problems. It's driving us a little crazy. Perhaps we need to change the routine?
